It takes a while to get that carefully coiffed One Direction look—especially if you're replicating the boy band's suave style in wax!

Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson are all being immortalized as wax figures for the famed Madame Tussauds empire and, just as the lads do in real life, the figures will be hitting the road for an international tour starting April 18 in London.

After giving the hometown fans a chance to pose for pics and otherwise make their twitpic dreams become a reality, the 1D display will be in New York from July 19 to Oct. 11 and then it's off to Sydney, where the figures will be residing from Oct. 24 to Jan. 28.

But before Madame Tussauds can get this show on the road, hours upon hours of labor have to be put in to get the wax figures just so, starting with the gents coming in to get measured every which way. And we have pictures of the caliper process right here!
