Republican
vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan spent part of the afternoon on Thursday
right here in the Bluff City.
The
congressman spoke at a fundraiser at the Racquet Club in East Memphis. The private
event was held to raise funds for the Romney campaign as he tries to unseat President
Obama.
Fox13
was not allowed inside the event.
Memphis
was the second stop of the day for Ryan. He was in Knoxville earlier on
Thursday where Republican Governor Bill Haslam introduced him.
The
fundraisers were $1,000 per plate. In Knoxville, Ryan raised about $1,000,000.
