ETSU to dedicate new health center

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) - East Tennessee State University is celebrating its new Johnson City Community Health Center.

A grand opening and dedication ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday. ETSU officials are expected to be joined by federal, state and local officials.

The state-of-the-art facility was funded by a $6.8 million grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration.

The clinic will be managed by the ETSU College of Nursing, which is partnering with the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences, as well as other university programs to offer patients more health care services.
