Woman accused of stealing from bank to buy drugs

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A former bank employee has been indicted on a federal charge of stealing more than $80,000 from a Hancock Bank branch in Biloxi to support her drug habit.

Ashley Keel was indicted this week, but she had been charged in a criminal complaint in September.

A complaint in U.S. District Court in Gulfport said Keel was the vault teller and admitted to FBI agents that she took the money to support an addiction to Oxycodone.

Her attorney had no comment.
