After years of debating the issue, on Tuesday the Memphis City Council approved a non-discrimination ordinance to protect lesbian, gay, and transgendered city employees.
Council also approved a proposal to raise a gas tax by one cent to be voted on, to help the Memphis Area Transit Authority.
Councilmen Kemp Conrad and Lee Harris joined FOX13 Good Morning Memphis in studio to talk about the passage of the ordinance and the one-cent gas tax proposal.
