MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -

Memphis police say a 23-year-old has been charged in the shooting death of a cab driver earlier this month.

Sgt. Alyssa Macon-Moore says officers on Friday charged Khiry Hill with first degree murder in the slaying of 50-year-old Gerald Cole.

Police found Cole lying in a front yard on Oct. 6. The investigation revealed that Cole drove a cab, which was discovered several hours later.

Cole was pronounced dead at the scene. Jail records did not indicate an attorney for Hill.
