Clinton School speaker to discuss Africa program

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Clinton School of Public Service is to feature a speaker who runs an organization that places students to live and work in rural Africa.

Saul Garlick is CEO of ThinkImpact and he is to speak at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Clinton School campus in Little Rock.

ThinkImpact is a global social enterprise that hosts the Innovation Institute, which is a summer immersion opportunity for U.S. students. The students are placed in rural Africa where they work to end poverty through market-based solutions.

Garlick's talk is titled "Nobody is Poor." It's about how all people have talent and skills that can be harnessed to create new markets to help end poverty.
