HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board is to hold a public hearing on proposed policy changes.
The 10 a.m. Friday meeting will be at Arkansas State University-Heber Springs.
The board is considering amendments to academic policies on college admission and college mathematics courses in Arkansas. It is also looking at certification of degrees offered by non-Arkansas institutions.
The proposed admissions policy amendment identifies the assessment exams and the minimum scores that may be used for the initial determination of undergraduate degree program admission. It also includes the guidelines for institutional development of a success plan for students admitted in conditional status.
The non-Arkansas degree proposal would include language from on false academic credentials and unrecognized accrediting agencies.
