HARRISBURG, Ark. (AP) - An Arkansas man charged with killing two people who were found dead in a Trumann mobile home has pleaded not guilty to two counts of capital murder and a burglary charge.
Prosecutor Scott Ellington says 28-year-old John Anthony Arnoult entered the pleas during a hearing Monday in Harrisburg.
Prosecutors filed formal murder charges against Arnoult last week. He faces two counts of capital murder in the deaths of 56-year-old Constance Cole and 57-year-old John Poff and an aggravated residential burglary charge.
Authorities arrested Arnoult several days after a maintenance worker found Cole and Poff dead in Poff's mobile home in September.
Arnoult's attorneys didn't respond to phone messages left Monday.
Ellington says Arnoult is due back in court on Dec. 7 for a pre-trial hearing.
