Day 5 of the Joe Caronna murder trial in Memphis criminal court was held Saturday. Read below testimony from the session.

3:15pm:  Prosecution has called 26 to witness, says 13 more expected. Judge Ward adjourns court until 9am Monday 

3:14pm:  No defense cross and Roper excused from witness stand, Judge Ward asks prosecution how many more witnesses

3:04pm:  Roper testifies that is not his signature on some annuity applications processed with Joe Caronna 

3:01pm:  Roper testifies writing 9 checks between 2003-08 for close to $100k either written to Caronna investments or Joe Caronna

2:52pm:  Roper testifies writing 2006 check for $20k to Caronna investments instead Jefferson Pilot, now Lincoln Financial 

2:46pm:  After quick cross Marr excused from stand, now Mike Roper takes stand, invested annuities with Joe Caronna for 8-10 years

2:42pm:  Marr testifies writing 3rd check in excess of $14k April 2008 to Caronna investments instead Allianz because Joe advised her

2:40pm:  Marr testifies writing 2 April 2005 checks totaling $12.5K to Caronna investments instead Allianz cause Joe advised her

2:39pm:  Next prosecution witness called in #caronnatrial is Donna Marr, who knew Caronnas thru Murphys from church, invested with Joe Caronna

2:32pm:  In defense cross Ms Brown testifies in collecting Tina Caronna's belongings for charity, she found duct tape, gave it to BPD

2:25pm:  Ms Brown testifies in March 2008 asking Joe Caronna to withdrawal $10K, he tried to dissuade her 

2:23pm:  Ms Brown testifies she wrote a check May 22 2006 to Caronna investments for $20k annuity, later was audited by IRS in 2007

2:20pm:  Ms Brown testifies she got call Oct 25 2008 from Joe Caronna around 7pm asking if she has seen Tina Caronna 

2:18pm:  In phone convo Oct 23 2008 Ms Brown testifies Tina was happy about new Fayette Co house

2:14pm:  Ms Brown testifies emails between Tina and mom, Tina was happy, that Joe can't know about them

2:11pm:  With jury back in prosecution calls Carrie Brown to stand, dinner friend of Tina Caronna. Recalls she being sad, distraught

2:05pm:  #caronnatrial back in session after lunch break, awaiting jury and defendant. Prosecution expected to call 4 witnesses before adjourning

12:20pm:  Quick cross with Dr Crenshaw, now on stand Cheryl Brady, former coworker and friend of Tina from Denver 

12:17pm:  Dr Crenshaw testifies Joe Caronna went with Tina to her doctor visits, Joe was with Tina in exam room

12:15pm:  Called to stand Dr Thomas Crenshaw OBGYN, who cared for Tina Caronna. He is witness 22 in #caronnatrial

12:11pm:  Court called back from break #caronnatrial, prosecution to call next witness after jury seated

11:56am:  After seeking clarification how to present future testimony from 2-3 witnesses in #caronnatrial, judge sets court in 10 min recess

11:14am:  Judge Ward says we are a long way from closing arguments, but getting closer every min

11:13am:  During 10 min recess we are told jury and Judge Ward went across street and early voted, hence 40 min break

9:31am:  Under defense cross real estate agent testifies she didn't talk with Tina, talked 2x with Joe Caronna in Sept-Oct 2008

9:30am:  Real estate agent testifies they never could get to close on new house in Fayette Co, had tried to contact Caronnas many times

9:25am:  Real estate agent testifies Fayette Co home $440K, worked with Joe Caronna to finalize closing, financing of new home

9:23am:  Next called for prosecution is Mary Ann Pat, real estate listing agent, met Caronnas at house showing in Fayette Co 

9:17am:  Under defense cross Dodson testifies she also called Tina Caronna, but Tina deferred to Joe. He was handling it

9:15am:  Dodson testifies Joe Caronna has not found a lender on Sept 19 2008, says no closing scheduled Oct 24 2008

9:13am:  Dodson testifies there was a closing date of Sept 25 2008 on Caronna's closing of house, unsuccessful that date

9:12am:  Prosecution calls Stephanie Dodson, EdCo processor at real estate company, works on closing documents
