Memphis police confirm that the FBI is investigating Lt. Dennis Toll, 43, who is assigned to MPD's Investigative Services Economic Crimes department.

MPD is not releasing any additional information regarding the FBI's investigation into Toll. The FBI says they are not commenting at this time.

Toll is currently on non-enforcement status, also referred to as desk duty, pending the outcome of the FBI's investigation.

Toll has been employed by the Memphis Police Department since Sept. 1988.
