OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (AP) - DeSoto County sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a 58-year-old man after a domestic dispute involving his son.
County Coroner Jeff Pounders tells The Commercial Appeal (http://bit.ly/SgYJyI ) John M. Pappas was found unconscious around 2 a.m. Wednesday by paramedics inside his Olive Branch home.
Pounders says Pappas and his son were involved in an argument that turned physical.
He says Pappas was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, where he was pronounced dead at 2:20 a.m.
His body will be sent to the Mississippi crime lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Meanwhile, the sheriff's department said the incident remains under investigation.
