LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Officials say Little Rock's airport has reopened after authorities determined that a suspicious suitcase didn't contain an explosive.

Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport spokesman Shane Carter said Thursday that departing flights were halted for a time but the airport reopened at about 5:40 p.m. Four flights were canceled when the airport was shut down.

Little Rock Fire Department Capt. Jason Weaver says there was no explosive material in the bag.

Several hundred people were evacuated from the airport, which was closed for 90 minutes.

Carter says passengers who were waiting for departing flights were escorted out of the terminal.

A bomb-sniffing dog alerted on the suspicious bag, which was in a luggage holding area.
