The first night of Starry Nights is still a few weeks away. This Memphis holiday tradition keeps adding cool new features that will require a little planning this year.
For years, the only way to see Starry Nights had been by car or bus. Now, the festival of lights has harkened back to the horse and carriage days.
"The carriage can hold 6-8 people and it's such a neat thing to see Starry Nights, 2 million LED lights, from a carriage (is) unreal," says event manager Natalie Wilson.
Even though Starry Nights won't open until Nov. 23, the carriages will get booked solid.
"You know, parks are about so much more than just grass and places for picnics. What they are really about is creating memories," says Shelby Farms Executive Director Laura Adams.
