BOONEVILLE, Miss. (AP) - A 71-year-old Prentiss County woman has died of injuries she suffered in a traffic accident Friday morning.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol tells WTVA TV (http://bit.ly/TuotZn ) Betty Turvaville died at the North Mississippi Medical Center where she was being treated following the accident.

Turvaville was the driver of a van that was hit by a dump truck at the intersection of Highway 30 Bypass and County Road 5031 around 7:45 a.m. Friday.

Thirty-5-year-old Becky A. Hatfield, a passenger in the van, died at the scene of the accident.

The dump truck driver was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
