DURANT, Miss. (AP) - Police in Durant are investigating a weekend shooting that left one man dead.

WLBT TV reports (http://bit.ly/VWnzcJ ) that one person was being held in connection with the shooting, which was reported early Sunday, shortly after midnight.

Durant Assistant Police Chief John W. Smith said officers responding to a call about the shooting found a man in a Durant home who had been shot multiple times.
