50 years and counting!  The Boys and Girls club of the Greater Memphis area celebrates a half century of making a difference.

For years the club has been a safe haven for kids.  It's a home away from the streets for kids looking for fun in a safe environment.  The club has also helped kids with tutoring, arts, life skills, fitness and leadership development.

Every year more than 10,000 kids participate in the 6 clubs in the Memphis area.  The clubs vice-president of operations says, "at the end of the day, our young people, if somebody doesn't take the time to teach our young people just like we were taught then we will continue to see a lot of our young people fall be the wayside. "

Any child between the ages of 6-18 can go to the club.
