Southaven's latest eye that is watching you is one that is always watching if you are out there doing your Christmas shopping.

The latest weapon in the Southaven Police Department's fight against crime is the SkyCop, an ever watchful eye in the sky parked in the middle of the mall, always watching, never blinking it was put in place the day after Thanksgiving and continues to watch the mall.
 
It is all part of the police department's stepped up patrols around the malls during the December holiday shopping season. They call it "Operation Christmas Presence."

During this time, crime actually drops in Southaven because you may find it hard to figure out who the actual police officers are in the mall, police officials said.
