State takes over 6 more Memphis schools
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

The state takeover of Memphis City Schools continues.

Six schools are already part of the state-run Achievement School District.

Six more schools will be converted in time for the 2013-14 school year.

Whitney and Georgian Hills Elementary will join the ASD. The other four schools will become charter schools. Hanley Elementary will be run by Aspire Public Schools, Klondike Elementary will be take over by Gestalt Community Schools and Kipp Collegiate Schools will run both Shannon Elementary and Correy Middle.
