Parts of Ark. could see freezing rain, sleet

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service says parts of Arkansas may be in for some more bad weather.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Little Rock say a mixture of light rain, freezing rain and sleet is expected to fall across northern Arkansas early Monday.

That rainfall could mean icy roads as surface temperatures hover close to freezing.

Rain is expected to continue falling across much of the state into the afternoon and evening.

The latest forecast for precipitation comes after a snowstorm pushed its way into Arkansas on Christmas and left tens of thousands of homes and businesses without power for days.
