Arrests made in Meridian nightclub shooting

MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) - Two men have been arrested on charges related to a shooting a Meridian nightclub that left one person dead and three injured.

Police Capt. Dean Harper tells The Meridian Star (http://bit.ly/XeSMcx) that 19-year-old Charles Sheffield has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and 32-year-old Cedric Sheffield has been charged with accessory after the fact to aggravated assault. They are being held on $250,000 bond each.

Police say the shooting occurred Dec. 26 in a parking lot at the Fusions/VIP nightclub. He says officers were called to the scene about 12:10 a.m.

Harper says Roderickus Bourdeaux died at a Meridian hospital after being shot multiple times. Three people were wounded but none seriously.

No charges have been filed in Bourdeaux's death.

Harper says an investigating is continuing.
