LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Forestry Commission says residents ought to be careful when clearing debris from the recent winter storm.
The agency says broken and hanging limbs can be dangerous. The commission says tree work should be done only by people who are trained and equipped to work safely with trees.
A powerful winter storm that barged into Arkansas on Christmas Day toppled trees, power lines and utility poles in parts of the state. It left more than a quarter-million Arkansas homes and businesses without power for part of a week.
