BOONEVILLE, Miss. (AP) - A New Site man has died from injuries sustained in a late Monday evening accident in Prentiss County.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol tells the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal (http://bit.ly/WMRgIO) the crash occurred on Miss. Highway 4 in the New Site community southeast of Booneville.

Troopers say 41-year-old Ivan Nash was traveling east when his car ran off the road and hit a tree.

Nash was taken to a Memphis hospital where he died Tuesday morning.

Two other passengers were injured but their injuries were not life-threating.

The crash remains under investigation.
