NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Fire has destroyed the sanctuary of a Nashville church.
There were no injuries when the blaze broke out Sunday afternoon at Bell Road Church of the Nazarene. A passer-by alerted the pastor, who lives in a house next door to the church building.
Church board member Judith Baker told The Tennessean (http://tnne.ws/UjBruP ) church members are grateful that no one was hurt and the congregation will determine how to move forward after the fire.
Assistant Fire Chief Charles Shannon said the building was a total loss and there was no immediate indication of any suspicious cause.
