At least one person has died in a house fire in Lakeland, Tenn., a Shelby County spokesman said.

The house fire occurred Monday evening in the 9200 block of Curling Pond.

Shelby County firefighters were searching the house for any other possible victims, the county official said.

The fire remains under investigation.
