It might be bad for you, but tow truck operators say Monday's and Tuesday's icy conditions brings big business for them.

Monday there were a total of 37 wrecks inside the city limits of Olive Branch.

"Business is good, we're really busy, today and yesterday," said Les Shirley of Lazer Towing.

Shirley has already got wrecks stacking up in the yard with the ice like fangs hanging from them make them look extra ugly.

There's more freezing rain expected Tuesday night as an Ice Storm Warning continues for the region until Wednesday morning.
 
"(Monday) about 2 p.m. we started getting really busy," Shirley said. "All the bridges started getting slick. There's a truck that's turned over right there."

Everybody tends to drive a little faster than they should. When you are speeding and you hit that ice, your first reaction is to brake. When you start to slide, that's what usually puts everyone in the ditch.
 
"The bridges are the worst right now," Shirley said. "There was a truck that was turned over at Bethel Road and Highway 78. It looks like he hit the bridge too fast, and slid off. That was a major factor (Monday), that bridge and bypass in Olive Branch on 302."
 
Truth is, the getting is good as a tow truck operator in this weather. Your icy misfortune on the roadway is bringing them some serious income."
 
"It's like money falling from the sky, so yeah, we do look forward to this," Shirley said. "All tow truck drivers do look forward to this all year long. I think it's our good part of the season, we just run and gun."
