U.S. Marshals from Detroit are in Memphis searching for Corey Gaston, a fugitive accused of raping a 10-year-old girl in 2007 and left town a year later before his trial.
Detroit police say in 2007 Gaston climbed into a little girl's bedroom, took her out the window and into an alley, and then sexually assaulted her.
The wanted fugitive was arrested and charged but skipped down in 2008 before his scheduled trial.
U.S. Marshals say the 33-year-old accused pedophile has families ties to Memphis and maybe in the Bluff City community.
A team of Memphis and Detroit marshals is combing our streets looking for Gaston. Standing 5-foot-7 inches tall, Gaston is a former amateur hockey player with a scar on his face, is pigeon-toed and has a distinctive bowlegged walk.
He is also a germaphobe.
