Joe Ford Sr. was arrested this morning for passing a bad check to a Memphis liquor store.  The amount of the check was for over $1300 which is a felony.  Joe Ford Sr. is the former Memphis City Councilman, Shelby County Councilman and Shelby County interim Mayor. Ford is being processed at 201 Poplar as of 8:10am Tuesday.

Ford was arrested in 2011 on similar charges involving two Rolex watches he purchased from Las Savell Jewelry store. Those charges were eventually dismissed after he settled with the jewelry store.
