The 2013-14 General Choice Transfer process for all students in Shelby County will begin on February 15, 2013 and run through April 1, 2013.

Combining the former "Open Enrollment" transfer process of Memphis City Schools (MCS) and the "Student Transfer" process of Shelby County Schools (SCS), the General Choice Transfer process allows parents to choose a school that best fits their child's educational needs. It includes all MCS and SCS schools with available enrollment spaces that will be a part of the unified district in 2013-14.
