Three-state chase following a robbery in Memphis ends in Cooter, Mo. (Matt Gerien / FOX13 News)
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -
Two armed robbery suspects led a multitude of police from several jurisdictions on a high speed chase that spanned nearly 100 miles and through three Mid-South states, eventually ending in Missouri.
The suspects robbed a T-Mobile store on Stage Road in Memphis Wednesday afternoon at around 1:30 p.m., then fled in a Chevrolet Malibu. Initially Memphis police officers gave chase.
At one point during the pursuit the suspects allegedly tried to ram a Memphis police cruiser. The chase crossed into West Memphis on I-55 north and Arkansas State Police joined in the pursuit and continued past the Missouri border near the town of Cooter.
Missouri State Police used spike strips to stop the car.
Law enforcement said the two unknown suspects could face charges not only in Tennessee, but in Arkansas and Missouri.
Once the Malibu rolled to a stop after two of its tires deflated, Missouri troopers arrested the pair of suspects without incident.
The incident remains under investigation.
