Trial under way in Memphis college student killing

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Three men are on trial in Memphis in the 2009 killing of a 19-year-old college student.

University of Memphis sophomore Tederrial "TK" Hancock was shot several times in the neck as he sat in his car in a branch library parking lot.

The Commercial Appeal (http://bit.ly/SlYWPg ) reported 19-year-old Lavino Horne, 21-year-old Charles McClain and 20-year-old Leterpa Mosley are on trial, charged with first-degree felony murder in the perpetration of a robbery. Each is also charged with the criminal responsibility of the others.

Prosecutor Ray Lepone told jurors on Tuesday there were seven shell casings found and not a single shot went into the body of the car, but all went through the window. Lepone called the crime an execution.

Defense attorneys told the jury the shooting was not planned.
