Mother, wife of Adam Mayes indicted by grand jury
BOLIVAR, Tenn. (FOX13) -

A Hardeman County grand jury has indicted Mary and Teresa Mayes, the mother and wife of Adam Mayes, but the details will not be released until Thursday's arraignment.

The pair is accused of helping Adam Mayes carry out his desperate plot to kidnap members of the Bain family in spring 2012, then kill two of them.

A teen was reportedly shot one block from Hamilton High School in South Memphis Tuesday evening, a Memphis Police spokeswoman said.

The teen, approximately 18, was shot on Pillow Street and East Person Avenue shortly before 7 p.m.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the neck while at a community center early Tuesday evening that was the site of an anti-gang violence meeting, police said.

The reported shooting took place at the North Frayser Community Center at Pickett Park on St. Elmo Avenue at around 6 p.m., police said.
