A day after helping the Grizzlies to its eighth consecutive win in Charlotte, guard Quincy Pondexter was back in the Bluff City Sunday giviNg back to those in need.

Pondexter gave away frozen turkeys, ham, stuffing and side dishes at the New Direction Christian Church Sunday afternoon.

Javone Fitzgerald, 26, spend the night in jail after stabbing her boyfriend repeatedly Sunday at the Enclave Apartments, police said.

The unidentified victim was found by first responders with multiple stab wounds to the torso. He was taken to The MED and is listed in critical condition.

A 48-year-old Lakeland man died Sunday morning after a fire consumed his mobile park home.

The fire was reported at around 1 a.m. at the Canada Trace Mobile Home Park, 3237 Shoehorn.

Shelby County firefighters conducted an initial search for the trapped homeowner.
