Man goes to trial this week on murder charge

NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - A Natchez man is set to go to trial this week for the botched robbery-turned-fatal shooting.

Miss. troopers on duty in NJ

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - As the East Coast continues recovery efforts following Superstorm Sandy, Mississippi is sending more help to the region.

Tupelo's mayor won't seek re-election next year

TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - Tupelo Mayor Jack Reed Jr. says he won't run for a second term.
