Exide in Bristol laying off 167 in December
BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP) - Exide Technologies will lay off 167 people at its Bristol plant next month as it consolidates manufacturing operations.
The Kingsport Times-News reports (http://bit.ly/SgMIsY) the battery maker told the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development that the layoffs will take place between Dec. 17 and 31.
