Non-profits face stern cuts in county budget hearings

In the first round of Shelby County budget hearings, non-profits were faced with stern cuts in the amount of grant money available to them, due to the county's need to pay for the Unified Schools system.

Corinth man arrested in ricin probe
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Paul Kevin Curtis of Corinth, Miss., has been arrested in the ricin-tainted letters that were sent to President Barack Obama, U.S. Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss), and a Lee County, Miss., justice official.

FOX News said the third tainted letter was sent to  Lee County Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Zach Randolph had 25 points and 19 rebounds and the Memphis Grizzlies ended Utah's playoff hopes with an 86-70 victory over the Jazz on Wednesday.

The Grizzlies' victory means the Los Angeles Lakers are assured of making the playoffs even before their late game against the Houston Rockets.
