Pastner wants to add Robert Kirby as assistant

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -

Memphis coach Josh Pastner has hired Robert Kirby as an assistant coach for the Tigers.
 
Pastner announced the hiring Tuesday, a move that must be approved by the both the university and the Tennessee State Board of Regents that oversees Memphis.

Written ruling to come in school board election challenge

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Chancellor Kenny Armstrong decided today he will issue a written ruling on a lawsuit, filed by Rev. Kenneth Whalum, which challenges the outcome of an election for a seat on the Unified School Board. No word when the ruling will come down.
