Lenny Kravitz Is Marvin Gaye! Filming Starts 2013!
We heard it through the grapevine… Umm… this is sort of perfect!! As much as we love Lenny Kravitz gyrating with his mic pole, he's totally been impressing us with his Thespian chops. So hey! The more, the merrier! With Precious and Hunger Games under his belt, Lenny has been chosen to portray the legendary Marvin Gaye in a new film helmed by Julien Temple. Focusing on the soul singer's time in Europe — and his subsequent battle with addiction — the 80s biopic is scheduled to begin filming sometime next year. Whoo! As we're sure you know, Marvin was tragically shot by his father and died on April 1, 1984 right here in Tinsel Town. And there's no doubt that Lenny will give his all to honor the late great!
