Django Unchained N-Word Use: LA Reid Weighs In!
Producer extraordinaire and X Factor mentor LA Reid attended a screening of Quentin Tarantino's crazy controversial film Django Unchained on board Diddy's St. Barths yacht over Christmas…And the dude thought it was SO nice he watched it twice!LA expressed: "Django Unchained is a powerful story and incredibly entertaining movie. The performances are all stellar, particularly Leo DiCaprio’s and Samuel L. Jackson’s . . . Jamie Foxx was also very strong."BUT Reid was NOT impressed by Tarantino's excessive use of the N-Word!The music mogul shared: "One criticism: Although the N-word was unfortunately used liberally during the time the film depicted, I felt Q.T. should have approached the use of the word more sensitively and used it a lot less . . . It’s a painful part of America’s history and still an open wound."LA Reid's criticisms of Django are expressed by many, including famed director Spike Lee. But, Quentin stands by his choice to use the n-word over a hundred times, and just as many support his decision! And obviously, as is evidenced in most of Tarantino's films, he does what he does and he doesn't give a f******ck.Kinda like Rihanna.
