Vanessa Lachey (nee Minnillo) hasn't stopped gushing about her baby boy Camden since he was born last fall. "I feel like I've loved you forever," the Wipeout host, 32, wrote in a Valentine's Day love letter just last week to her son. But that doesn't mean it's been all smiles and giggles for the first-time mom and dad Nick Lachey.
In an exclusive interview withUs Weekly at Stylemaker Day, hosted by P&G's Have You Tried This Yet? campaign, on Feb. 20 Lachey opens about experiencing the baby blues shortly after giving birth to Camden, now 5-months-old.
"Well, I'll never forget day four after Camden was born. I was in bliss the first three days and by day four, I had a moment where I was crying and just needed a second. I was flooded by emotions," the star shares.
"I remember needing to get out of the house. I was like, 'I need me right now.' I went out, put the windows down in my car, and One Republic's 'Feel Again' came on the radio. I turned it up and felt so much better," she continues. "I came home, took a shower without any interruption. It is so important to make 'me' time."
Fortunately, the 32-year-old TV personality gets a lot of help from Camden's hands-on-dad. "Nick usually gets up with Cam around 7:30 AM. He is just a morning guy. He'll get up and feed Cam. And I do the nighttime stuff. I bathe him, put him down, and sing him a lullaby."
