Arkansas House delegation splits on cliff vote

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Both of Arkansas' U.S. senators voted in favor of legislation to avert sharp increases in federal taxes and steep cuts in government spending but the state's House delegation was split.

Republican Senator John Boozman and Democratic Senator Mark Pryor both voted "yes" on the measure this weekend.

Midwest economic index again rises slightly
