NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The U.S. Justice Department has reached an agreement to reform the Memphis and Shelby County juvenile justice system after a complaint filed several years ago alleged that African-American kids were being treated more harshly in the system.

A historically black university in the Mid-South reached a major milestone, 150 years. The once troubled LeMoyne-Owen University has battled back from financial and accreditation crises.

'We Bleed Blue' supporting Lang, daughters
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Officer MarToiya Lang was the first female Memphis police officer murdered in the line of duty.

She was shot and killed while she and her partner were serving a drug warrant on Dec. 14.

Southaven Mayor Greg Davis indicted
HERNANDO, Miss. (FOX13) -

Southaven Mayor Greg Davis has been indicted on three counts involving alleged misuse of tax money by a Mississippi Grand Jury in DeSoto County. 

Davis was indicted on one count each of embezzlement, false pretense and making fraudulent statements.
