Arkansas Senate gives final OK to guns in church bill
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -

The Arkansas Senate has given final approval to legislation that would allow concealed handguns in churches and other houses of worship.

By a 34-1 vote, the Senate agreed with an amendment that added sponsors to the legislation. The measure would only allow the concealed handguns if the places of worship okay it.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -

An Arkansas House committee has delayed discussion of a bill that would ban most abortions as early as six weeks into a pregnancy.

The House Public Health Committee on Tuesday tabled discussion of the legislation, which would prohibit most abortions if a fetal heartbeat is detected.

Joe Ford Sr. arrested for writing a bad check

Joe Ford Sr. was arrested this morning for passing a bad check to a Memphis liquor store.  The amount of the check was for over $1300 which is a felony.  Joe Ford Sr. is the former Memphis City Councilman, Shelby County Councilman and Shelby County interim Mayor. Ford is being processed at 201 Poplar as of 8:10am Tuesday.
