Mississippi daycare scanning system delayed

The start of a child finger scanning system at child care facilities in Mississippi has been delayed.

The system would require parents who benefit from federally subsidized vouchers to scan their fingerprints to check their children in or out.

Nike says its expanding and investing in Memphis, but the Mayor says its not a done deal yet.

On its website, Nike announced plans to expand and invest in the facility.  Wharton says there are still steps to take, including approval from the City Council and State Officials, as well as adjustments to the budget.
