Ark. inmate walks away from community service

ASH FLAT, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in north Arkansas say a 34-year-old inmate walked away from community service at the Sharp County courthouse.

The Sharp County Sheriff's office said in a news release that Christy Lee Vissering walked away from the courthouse on Thursday.

The sheriff's office says Vissering had been in jail since Aug. 31 on charges

Metro Memphis' EDGE Board approved Nike's request for a 15-year tax abatement, paving the way in retaining 1,662 jobs and creating at least 250 more.

This deal would make Memphis the biggest population of Nike employees outside of its world headquarters in Beaverton, Ore.
